Hot Leg were on the bill for Planet Rock’s Xmas Party on 2nd Dec 09, along with Hovercraft Pirates who were on first then Gary Moore finishing the night off.
I was there for Hot Leg but as last time when i visited the Islington Academy (London UK) the photos turned out really poor – the lighting is quite high and angled, and mostly blue. I’ve put on Flickr a bunch of the best, but as part of the crowd as well, they aren’t going to be outstanding!
Hot Leg were very good as always, Pete Rinaldi was in another country due to other commitments at the time, so The Crave’s Carlos Garcia took his place on guitar for this one.
For a Christmas gig it wasn’t very Christmassy or no real party element… no decorations or mince pies etc. Justin attempted a few Christmas songs to try and get vibe going, but that’s about it!
It was a good night though and lots of Hotties and Legends turned out for it, so it was great to see familiar and new faces.
